TREES OF LIFE

We live in uncertain and stressful times, when we need symbols of hope and resilience.  My new series, Trees of Life, is a response to these times.  Nature is a powerful symbol that expresses the values we want to remember now: the diversity of species, the interconnectedness of all living things, strength and hope for the future of our planet.

Many different cultures have their own Tree of Life that holds special meaning for them.  The interconnectedness of Heaven, Earth and Below through each culture’s mythology.

These works are made with simple materials, graphite, colored pencil and ink on paper.  They are designed to highlight the fact that Nature is our mentor.
